FreeLake Flash: This is our competitive program where we invite our players to take it to the next level.  

The travel softball year starts in the fall with practices, scrimmages, and possibly fall tournaments (if the team elects to do so). Then these travel teams will practice indoors during the winter preparing to play in 3-5 weekend tournaments during the 2023 summer (based upon availability and team interest).  All interested players should register on our website for travel team tryouts and attend the appropriate tryout listed below. Please note there is no fee for tryout registration.  

We fully intend to put our best foot forward and create teams that can compete at high levels in tournament play. Top players will be placed on an “A” team chosen by the coach. If we have enough players for a second or third team we can make a “B” team or even a “C” team. Please note that being on the “B” team is still a great year of rewarding experience and may give rise to an eventual “A” team selection especially as older girls move on.

If a player is selected to join a travel team payment can be made in 3 installments or paid in full. This will cover the costs of winter training facilities, uniforms, equipment, and tournament entry fees for a minimum of 3 tournaments. Teams may elect to compete in additional tournaments at a cost split amongst players.  

Players must participate in the FreeLake Spring recreational season to be eligible.  Please note that registration fees for spring and fall recreational leagues are not included in the Flash travel team fees. 

Tryouts for 8U division will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 5:30 pm at John Paun Park.

Tryouts for 10U division will be held on Tuesday, August 8th  at 5:30 pm at John Paun Park.

Tryouts for 12U division will be held on Monday, August 7th at 5:30 pm at John Paun Park.

The 14U date to register is by August 13th.  Tryouts for the 14U division is Wednesday, August 16th at 5:30 pm at John Paun Park.
